EVula's Lair Store: FAQ
Here is where I list answers to various questions people have about the Store. Actually, that's not true; the store just opened, so no one has asked any questions yet... a more accurate description would be "where I answer questions before people bug the hell out of me about stuff." :)
Yeah, just a few questions. Kinda sad, huh? If you have any suggestions for questions that should be answered here, post them over at the Imperial Lounge.
- How much do you make on the items?
I tend to make a couple of dollars on each item.
- Why is everything black on white?
Just about all of the products are white, which somewhat limits what I can do, product wise. The fact that the majority of the items for sale are black and white are just results from the desin itself.
- Why don't you have <particular item>?
Many reasons. Sometimes, a particular item just looks like crap with a particular design on it. For example, you'll notice that I don't sell a yellow messenger bag with the Name Tag image on it; that's because the blue in the image turns yellow when overlayed on top.
Another reason is that some images don't lend themselves very well to the limited dimensions CafePress puts on each item. I could give reasons for every item that isn't listed, but that would take too long.
- What is with the bar code?
I thought it would be an excellent image to brand across multiple products. It fits in well with the whole "evil Emperor" thing that I've got going on, so I figured I'd try it out. So far, so good.
- Why don't you have black shirts?
CafePress doesn't support printing on black (or other dark colors) shirts. Other CafePress stores have black shirts; that's because they have them produced elsewhere and then ship them to CafePress so that they can be sold along with everything else.
Therefore, if I was going to sell black shirts, I'd have to spend a fair amount of money up-front. Since the point of the Store is to make money rather than spend it, don't expect black shirts any time soon.
